Consultancy & Project Management
We offer consultancy services such as race route design and traffic management planning to anyone looking for support with a running race. A recent example is the creation of a running route from Saracens Rugby Club in Barnet to Wembley Stadium in Brent for the Vitality Run Series North London Half Marathon. This was a complicated project, which included negotiating the road closures and traffic management with Brent, Barnet and TFL. We are comfortable working on events of any size.

Racesolutions are happy to work with other race organisers on projects of any size. We can be hands on as you like or act in more senior management roles. Recently we were on the round looking after sections of the new Bristol to Bath Marathon ensuring that the volunteer and equipment deployment was efficiently managed. At the other end of the scale we take charge of the traffic management planning and safety officer roles for AAT’s Surrey Half Marathon.

Racesolutions create running and challenge events for a wide variety of clients. Following discussions with the client we will come up with the concept, write the event plan and risk assessments, then look after the race day logistics. Constant support and advice is offered throughout the project. A recent example is the “The Breast Walk Ever” a marathon and half marathon-walking event for the Abingdon based charity Against Breast Cancer. Year 1 (2014) saw income after costs to the charity of 20K, rising to over 40K in 2015.

Inspiring people to run
We are passionate about running and always keen to go the extra mile to create something memorable. We came up with the first football stadium finish in the Madejski Stadium, we have run races through Wembley Stadium and Allianz Park and laid 100 metres of carpet to run through the Trent Building in Nottingham University. We have lowered pavements, built bridges and run 3000 people around a five mile forest trail covering 84,000 miles in the process. We closed Radcliffe Square in Oxford to run round the Bodlian Library and have turned bare fields into stunning flagged and tented race villages. We have done all these things and more but by far our greatest pleasure comes from the inclusion of children’s races in our own events; inspiring future generations to run.
